Ceramic works > Figurative sculpture

I wanted this piece to have sort of a totem pole feel to it, to help serve as a reminder and example. I think when things go wrong and people struggle it's easy for them to want to give up because they feel they can't succeed. Threw all the inner struggle, and opposition the main figure doesn't waiver, he is determined to move forward, he stands stoic and tall pointing the way forward. Part of success is not giving up, and it's silly to think that anyone who has succeeded has not struggled to move forward.
